Terms of use

Last updated November 6, 2026

These terms are a draft and are pending legal review.

Agreement

These terms cover your use of the Sola app and this website. By using Sola, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Sola.

Who runs Sola

Sola is provided by Vlad Kotyakov, the operator of the app on the App Store ("we" or "us"). Contact: [email protected].

Who can use Sola

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of adulthood where you live, a parent or guardian should agree to these terms with you.

Your content

Your habits, journal, to-dos, projects and chats belong to you. Most of it stays on your phone. When you use a feature that needs our servers or the AI, you let us process that content only to run the feature. Our privacy policy explains what is sent and kept.

You are responsible for keeping a copy of anything important. Sola does not back up your phone data, so use Export if you want a copy.

Ask Sola and AI features

  • Ask Sola and other AI features are provided by an AI model. Their replies can be wrong or incomplete.
  • Suggestions are only applied when you tap to add them. You decide what to keep.
  • Sola is not medical, mental health, legal or financial advice. It is not a crisis service. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number. See our safety page.
  • AI features have usage limits that may change.

Pacts and shared links

Pacts and shared habit stacks let you share some of your activity with people you invite. Please be kind. Do not use display names, pact names or habit names to harass, threaten, impersonate or spam anyone. We may remove pacts or links that break these terms.

Sola Premium

Sola is free to use. Sola Premium adds Ask Sola and AI insights. If you subscribe, Apple handles the payment through your Apple account, and Apple's terms apply to it. Subscriptions renew until you cancel. You can cancel or manage a subscription in your Apple account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple.

Acceptable use

  • Do not try to break, overload or get around the limits of our servers.
  • Do not try to access data that is not yours.
  • Do not copy, resell or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.
  • Do not use Sola for anything illegal.

Changes and availability

We may change, pause or stop parts of Sola. We will try to give notice when a change affects you. If we update these terms, we will change the date at the top. Using Sola after that means you accept the new terms.

Ending use

You can stop using Sola at any time. Delete my data in settings removes your records from our servers and wipes Sola from your phone. We may suspend access if you break these terms.

No warranty

Sola is provided "as is". We work to keep it reliable, but we do not promise it will always be available, error free or right for your needs.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages or lost data from using Sola. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Sola or its content, and has no duty to provide support for it. If Sola fails to match any warranty that applies, you may tell Apple, and Apple may refund the price you paid, if any. Apple and its subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. Where these terms do not cover something, Apple's standard licensed application end user license agreement applies.
